ERIK HÖGLUND TOOK THE CHANCE, EVEN THOUGH HE HAD VERY LITTLE EXPERIENCE

HE ARRIVED BY TRAIN CARRYING A SIMPLE BACKPACK

NO ONE KNEW HE WOULD STAY FOR 20 YEARS AND REVOLUTIONISE THE SWEDISH GLASS INDUSTRY

HÖGLUND WAS A TALENTED SCULPTOR, DRAUGHTSMAN AND GRAPHIC ARTIST THOUGH GLASS WAS HIS FAVOURITE MEDIUM

BORN IN KARLSKRONA SWEDEN IN 1932, HE DIED IN 1998

KOSTA GLASS WAS FOUNDED IN 1742 BY ANDERS KOSKULL AND BOGISLAUS STAEL VON HOLSTEIN

IN 1746 KOSTA WAS BOUGHT BY JOHAN WICKENBERG, AND STAYED IN HIS FAMILY UNTIL 1893

KOSTA BECAME PART OF THE AFORS GROUP IN 1971, ALONG WITH AFORS AND BODA, AND LATER JOHANSFORS

THE GROUP WAS BOUGHT BY UPSALA-EKEBY IN 1975, AND RENAMED KOSTA BODA AB IN 1976
